The mission of the MAOF is to provide for the socio-economic betterment of the greater Latino community of California, while preserving the pride, values, and heritage of Mexican-American culture. This is accomplished through programs in early childhood education and family services, job training, and senior lifestyle development throughout the multicultural communities served by MAOF. Our vision is to be the premier provider of comprehensive human services, envisions a future in which families throughout California are empowered to achieve self-sufficiency and contribute to a vibrant community.
MAOF has developed a family care model that uses a multi-generational approach to uplift the whole family. We provide social services for infants through seniors across four pillars: early child education, senior services, community development, and community partnerships.
Since our founding in 1963 in Los Angeles, we have grown to become one of the largest nonprofits in California serving over 125,000 people per year across eight counties which include: Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, San Diego, Ventura, Riverside, Kern, and Monterey. As our local Latino community also grew beyond Mexican-Americans over the years, we began serving the Latino community more broadly. Today, MAOF is proud to serve people from all racial and ethnic backgrounds.
